Variations on pieces

At Domingo we pride ourselves in our savoir faire. All our permanent collection pieces are handmade in NYC using porcelain and fired to cone 6 or cone 10. Pieces are made in very small batches, and firing atmospheres change every time, affecting the clay and glaze differently. Because of this, and because of the nature of a handmade piece, each piece is unique and no two pieces are exactly alike.

Variations in form, size, color, and/or texture occur and are celebrated.

For example, the many times sought-after effect of crazing in glaze may occur after months of the piece being last fired. This happens because clay and glaze continue to work over time and they react to their environment.

How to care for your pieces

Porcelain is the strongest in the clay spectrum, and allows for our pieces to be typically very thin. We recommend that, considering the delicate and precious nature of your Domingo piece, you handle it with care and hand wash it.

Porcelain pieces may break if mishandled. Domingo Ceramics LLC is not liable for any breakage or damage due to the owner's mishandling.

Exchanges & returns

Because we're an artist owned and run, very small business, and because of the sculptural nature of our pieces, unfortunately we cannot offer you returns or exchanges at this time. All pieces are final sale.

We pack orders ourselves with extreme care and so far all orders have arrived safely and in one piece. If you suffer the misfortune of your item arriving damaged, please contact us sending a photo within 24 hours of receiving your order so we can take care of the issue.
